Nordic Energy, under its former name of Nordic Heat, supported the development of the heat network in Stoke-on-Trent, in particular by supplying Swedish district energy design and operation expertise.

Solutions

Re-designing the network to reduce pipework sizing to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Developing a Heat Academy in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent college, training students for jobs in the district heating supply chain.
Providing consultancy support from Oresundskraft, the organisation managing energy infrastructure in the city of Helsingborg in Sweden, particularly for district heating and energy from waste.

Key Statistics

10,000 tonnes per year of CO2 savings
45GWh heat per year
We appreciate the approach Nordic Energy brings to our projects. The team effectively mixes pan-European knowledge of district heating systems and structures with a multi-disciplinary approach that is able to take a holistic view of the needs and objectives of our projects.
